Dialogos Radio’s Broadcasts to be Heard on Ellines Radio

ellinesradioWe are excited to announce that Dialogos Radio’s weekly Greek-language broadcast have been added to the programming lineup on Ellines Radio, broadcasting on 1368 kHz on the medium-wave (AM) band in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece, and online at www.ellinesradio.gr!

Our broadcasts will be heard each Friday at 11 pm Greek time on Ellines Radio, which becomes the 19th radio station to join our growing broadcast network worldwide!

Mark Blyth’s “Austerity: The History of a Dangerous Idea” Released in Greece!

litotitaThe bestselling book by economist Mark Blyth, “Austerity: The History of a Dangerous Idea,” has recently been released in Greece by Pandora’s Books, with a Greek translation, plus a new prologue by economist Yanis Varoufakis. Blyth has been a previous guest on Dialogos Radio, and in this book, he presents historical research explaining the origins of economic austerity policies, while demonstrating what the catastrophic result of these policies has been whenever and wherever they have been enforced.

The translation work for this book was done by Dialogos Radio’s very own Michael Nevradakis, and the book is now available in bookstores throughout Greece, or online via Pandora’s Books, simply by clicking here!

Dialogos Radio To Be Heard in South Africa

hellenicradioWe are excited to announce the expansion of Dialogos Radio’s broadcast network, with the addition of Hellenic Radio 1422 AM, which will begin airing our weekly Greek-language broadcasts each Thursday, from 1-2 pm local time, beginning Thursday, January 9!  Based in Johannesburg, Hellenic Radio is South Africa’s only 24/7 Greek radio station, on the air since 1995 with programming for Johannesburg’s large Greek community.

Our broadcasts on Hellenic Radio begin on January 9 with one of the best programs from our archive, featuring our interview with the world-renowned athlete and “Ultramarathon Man” Dean Karnazes, and will continue again next week with another program from our archive.  New broadcasts will begin on January 23, and we will soon be posting updates regarding the interviews and features we will air, on our website and our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Hellenic Radio becomes the seventh station to join the growing Dialogos Radio network, which now spans four continents.  We look forward to welcoming the Greek community of South Africa to the growing community of Dialogos Radio listeners!

John Perkins Interview Featured in Greece’s Hot Doc Magazine!

Dialogos Radio Now Heard on Radio Symi!

Recent Dialogos Radio Interview with Greg Palast Published in Greece

HotDoc_Palast_2Dialogos Radio’s recent interview with the renowned investigative journalist and New York Times bestselling author Greg Palast has just been published in print form, in Hot Doc magazine, one of Greece’s foremost and most popular investigative journalism publications.  Highlights of our radio interview with Greg Palast were translated into Greek and published, and the interview is available in the issue of Hot Doc which reached newsstands throughout Greece today (July 11th).  An electronic edition of the magazine can also be purchased online, at the following website: http://www.hotdoc.gr/node/89.

vogWe are excited to announce that our radio program, Dialogos Radio, and its producer/host, Michael Nevradakis, will be featured on The Voice of Greece.  This feature, which will focus on Dialogos Radio as well as Michael Nevradakis’ academic and journalistic work in Greece, and a discussion of the Greek diaspora in the United States, will air on the “O Taxydromos” radio program, hosted by Natassa Visarrionos, on Thursday, May 9th at 11 am GR (9 am GMT, 4 am Eastern).

Dialogos Radio honored at the 1st Annual Greek Radio Awards!

radioawardsDialogos Radio has been honored as one of the awardees at the 1st Annual Greek Radio Awards.  The results, based on both a popular vote and an evaluation by a team of judges, were announced on Monday, February 25th, at the awards ceremony, held at the Noesis Science and Technology Center in Thessaloniki.  Dialogos Radio was honored alongside some of the biggest names in the Greek radio industry…an incredible honor for our program!  Dialogos Radio competed in three categories: best news-talk-culture program, best podcast, and best online-only radio station!  Dialogos Radio would like to especially thank Konstantinos Papatheodosiou and Sabina Cirioni of the Star Radio Network, Stelios Hatzigiannakis of the Hellenic Radio Museum, the organizers of the Greek Radio Awards, and finally, our loyal friends and listeners for their votes and support!
