This week on Dialogos Radio, we will celebrate the recent Greek Independence Day holiday with a special broadcast.  On this week’s program, the Dialogos Interview Series will feature an interview with Paul Ioannidis, the honorary vice president of the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation and author of the recent autobiography titled “Destiny Prevails,” in an intriguing discussion that will touch upon the themes of fighting for freedom and independence.

In this interview, Mr. Ioannidis will share his recollections and experiences as a member of the Greek rebel forces which fought the Nazis during World War II, and how destiny led him to become a pilot, initially with the Hellenic Air Force and later with Olympic Airways.  It was at Olympic Airways that he met Aristotle Onassis, with whom he developed a longstanding professional relationship and friendship, which Mr. Ioannidis will discuss in detail in this week’s interview.
