This Week: Interview with Christos Sideris of the Metropolitan Community Clinic of Elliniko

mkieThis week on Dialogos Radio and the Dialogos Interview Series, we will be featuring an interview that many of our listeners have requested over the past several months.  On this week’s broadcast, we will be speaking with Christos Sideris, a volunteer and one of the founding members of the Metropolitan Community Clinic of Elliniko, which was founded in 2011 in the Athens suburb of Elliniko, and which was the first health clinic in Greece which began to offer free medical services to those who were uninsured or who could not afford medical care.  In this interview, Sideris will talk about the clinic and its history, about the collapse of the Greek public health system as a result of the austerity measures that are being imposed in Greece, and about the many challenges the clinic has faced in its operations, including attempts at intimidation on the part of the otherwise “responsible” and “pro-European” government in Greece.

Tune in for this informative and timely interview on this week’s broadcast of Dialogos Radio!
